About The Position

The Cook prepares and supervises food for room service, ensuring dishes meet standards for quality, portioning, presentation, and taste. The role also leads and assists kitchen staff, supports efficient kitchen operations, resolves issues proactively, communicates professionally with coworkers and guests, maintains a clean and organized kitchen that meets sanitation and safety standards, and manages time to ensure prompt food preparation and service. The position requires the ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain composure while evaluating situations and choosing an appropriate course of action.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience, or graduation from a culinary program with at least 1 year of experience in a hotel or related field.
Food Handlers Certification, in compliance with state requirements.
Ability to work effectively under pressure, maintain composure, evaluate situations quickly, and determine an appropriate course of action.
Strong communication skills, including active listening and the ability to convey ideas and solutions effectively.
