About The Position

Knott’s Berry Farm Entertainment is casting experienced singers for musical productions during the upcoming season of Knott’s Peanuts Celebration. Singers should prepare 16 bars of a musical theater or jazz selection; contemporary songs are not accepted. An accompanist will be provided, and candidates should bring appropriate printed sheet music, a recent photo, and a resume. At the director’s discretion, selected candidates may be asked to learn a movement combination, sing material from the show, or return later for a callback. Candidates should be prepared to stay as late as 5 p.m. The role involves performing as part of a team to create the atmosphere and meet goals established by Entertainment leadership and show directors. Performers are expected to remain in character while on stage or in view of guests, interact with guests professionally, and perform material as scripted or conceived. The role also includes guest service, maintaining a safe and clean work area, following park policies and attendance requirements, and carrying out other assigned duties. The position pays $20.65 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Singing experience is required.
Be available for assigned rehearsals and event dates, including weekday and weekend nights and holidays; weekends are required.
Be fully available for rehearsals and show dates, including weekends.
Be willing and able to wear makeup and costumes for extended periods.
Be able to pass a background check; for applicants 18 or older, checks may include credit, criminal, and DMV records.
Provide records of previous employment, education, and personal references, subject to company policy and applicable law.
Prepare 16 bars of a musical theater or jazz selection; contemporary songs are not accepted.
Bring appropriate printed sheet music, a recent photo, and a resume.
Be prepared to stay as late as 5 p.m. for a possible callback or other audition activity.

Nice To Haves

Dance experience is preferred.
A strong stage presence and passion for providing high-quality entertainment are desired.

Responsibilities

Perform musical productions for Knott’s Peanuts Celebration.
Work as a team member to support the atmosphere and goals set by Entertainment leadership and show directors.
Perform the role as scripted or conceived and remain in character while on stage or in view of guests.
Interact with guests in a professional and artistic manner while performing.
Provide guest service according to Cedar Fair standards, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving accurate directions.
Maintain cleanliness and safety in the assigned work area, comply with Six Flags Safety guidelines and requirements, and report unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
Meet scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Fulfill attendance requirements under the Six Flags attendance policy.
Follow Six Flags Rules of Conduct, including costuming and grooming standards, and other applicable park or division policies and procedures.
Perform other assigned duties.
