About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal and regular team members for multiple roles in Sales, Cashier, Stock, and/or Fulfillment at Crossroads at Eatontown Rack. Team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment to make the customer experience quick, easy, and enjoyable while helping customers find deals. Applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and Cashier team members help customers with transactions, create a smooth fitting-room experience, support Nordstrom Rewards initiatives, maintain organized stockrooms and inventory processes, keep the sales floor ready through re-merchandising and straightening, use store technologies, and resolve customer concerns. Stock Support and Fulfillment team members receive and process merchandise, fulfill and ship customer orders to quality standards, use inventory management systems to process and research shipments, maintain clean and organized floors and stockrooms, and provide general store support such as preparing events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating fixtures. The role requires schedule flexibility based on business needs. Stock Support and Fulfillment positions also require lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

Create a smooth fitting-room experience by greeting customers, taking them to fitting rooms, and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Motivate and inspire others to adopt initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Keep stockrooms organized and complete inventory processes, including checking in and accurately ticketing merchandise.
Keep the sales floor ready through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with a variety of transactions in a seamless and friendly manner.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Resolve customer situations in a timely and effective manner.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived goods to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner and meet quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
