About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring a team member to support customer service and sales-floor operations at Royal Ridge Center. The role involves working in a fast-paced, high-energy retail environment, collaborating with teammates, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, helping customers have a quick and easy experience, and keeping the store clean and clutter-free. Team members may occasionally work in different store areas, including sales, customer service, stock, and fulfillment. Sales and customer-service duties include maintaining and replenishing the sales floor, assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, supporting fitting-room operations, returning clothing to the sales floor, organizing stockrooms, checking in and ticketing merchandise, using store technologies, following operational and asset-protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock-support and fulfillment duties include receiving and processing freight, delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory-management systems, maintaining organized sales floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as setting up events, markdowns, and moving fixtures. The role requires continuous movement and handling merchandise, including lifting and carrying items. The posted pay range is $15.45–$16.05 per hour; offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For stock and fulfillment roles, frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor runway-ready by re-merchandising, straightening, sizing, and replenishing merchandise throughout the day.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions; operate point-of-sale systems, bag items, and handle bulky or heavy merchandise while providing friendly service.
Support fitting-room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Sort and return clothing to the sales floor to maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived items to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory-management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments according to inventory-control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
