Seasonal Customer Service & Sales Floor Support - Springfield Town Center Rack
About The Position
Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal team members for Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment roles at Springfield Town Center. Team members work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, help customers have a quick and easy experience, and keep the store clean and organized. Employees may work in different areas of the store as needed. Sales and Customer Service duties include maintaining and replenishing the sales floor, assisting with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, supporting fitting rooms, returning merchandise to the floor, organizing stockrooms, using store technologies, following operational and asset protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment duties include receiving and processing merchandise, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, using inventory systems, maintaining organized sales floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support.
Requirements
- Clear, effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
- Ability to remain in continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
- Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
- For Stock and Fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Keep the sales floor runway ready through re-merchandising, straightening, sizing, and replenishing merchandise.
- Assist customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms using a point-of-sale system; bag items and handle bulky or heavy merchandise.
- Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
- Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
- Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
- Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
- Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
- Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver new merchandise to selling departments.
- Fulfill customer orders promptly and prepare orders for shipment according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
- Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
- Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
- Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
