About The Position
U-Haul is hiring a friendly, motivated Customer Service Representative to help customers inside and outside its center. The role combines customer service with equipment inspection and maintenance, rental processing, and inventory management using smartphone-based technology. Employees receive on-the-job education and participate in ongoing training through U-Haul University. This is a new facility; training will take place at 11425 Digital Ct, Sparks, Nevada 89441. The position is not eligible for employer sponsorship, and applicants must be legally authorized to work without requiring sponsorship.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Legally authorized to work without requiring employer sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
- Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
- Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
- Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels.
- Answer customer questions and explain products and services.
- Prepare rental invoices and accept returned rental equipment.
- Install hitches and trailer wiring.
- Fill propane; certification is offered through U-Haul after employment.
- Drive a forklift; certification is offered through U-Haul after employment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
