About The Position
Price Family Dealerships is seeking a Lot Porter to perform non-mechanical vehicle maintenance, move vehicles, and carry out other duties assigned by the manager safely and in a timely manner. The role supports the Sales and Service Departments by maintaining new, used, and service vehicle lots and transporting vehicles to appropriate departments for service and inventory control. This position is headquartered in Marin County, California, and may require travel to other locations. It is a full-time, non-exempt position. Evening, weekend, and holiday hours may be required. The listed salary range is $17–$20.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and safely work with a team to lift and maneuver items weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods without resting.
- Ability to perform routine kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Nice To Haves
- One to three years of porter experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Park vehicles according to policy and Sales Department direction to keep the lot attractive to potential buyers.
- Clean and maintain the lots for the new, used, and service departments.
- Assist Sales and Service staff with moving vehicles to support efficient dealership operations.
- Ensure vehicles are clean.
- Add and maintain key tags and window stickers on lot vehicles.
- Drive vehicles to other dealerships for dealer swaps or to vendors as requested.
- Pick up or deliver customers using dealership vehicles when requested.
