About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a friendly, motivated Customer Service Representative to work as part of a supportive team and help customers with their journeys. The role combines customer service with inspecting and maintaining equipment, and using technology to dispatch and return rentals. On-the-job education is offered, with ongoing learning through U-Haul University. The position also involves moving and connecting trucks and trailers, maintaining the equipment lot, and completing other duties as assigned. The role is based at 5201 Denton Hwy, Haltom City, Texas. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. U-Haul states that it will not hire or re-hire nicotine-product users in Texas and other listed states.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels.
Answer customer questions and explain products and services.
Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
Install hitches and trailer wiring.
Fill propane; certification is offered through U-Haul upon employment.
Drive a forklift; certification is offered through U-Haul upon employment.
Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University.
Perform other duties as assigned.
