About The Position

Destination Pet is hiring a Customer Service Representative at Divine Canine to provide a welcoming, concierge-style experience for clients and their pets. The role supports the facility’s pet-care services, including daycare, boarding, grooming, training, and veterinary services. It requires evening weekday availability from 1:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., as well as availability on weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Strong people skills and comfort working with pets.
• Strong communication skills across phone, in-person, and email interactions.
• Comfort using multi-line phones and computer systems.
• Ability to stay professional under pressure and solve problems.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, and climb stairs.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Ability to work around cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal accidents.

Nice To Haves

• Previous customer service or retail experience.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome pet parents and their pets to the facility.
• Answer phones and multitask while assisting clients.
• Tour prospective clients through the facility and sell services.
• Ensure client pets’ vaccination records are up to date.
• Manage client and pet check-ins and check-outs.
• Handle cash and card payments and balance the end-of-day cash drawer.
• Respond to complaints patiently and professionally.
• Escort pet guests to and from their enclosures.
• Keep the lobby clean and welcoming.
• Support other team members as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
