About The Position

Destination Pet is hiring a Customer Service Representative at Holiday Pet Hotel to help provide a welcoming experience for pet parents and their pets. The role supports the facility’s customer service and daily operations, including answering calls, introducing clients to the facility and its services, managing pet arrivals and departures, and maintaining a clean and welcoming lobby. The representative also helps ensure vaccination records are current, processes payments, responds to complaints, escorts pets to and from their enclosures, and assists coworkers as needed.

The position involves frequent standing and walking, climbing stairs, handling leashes, and lifting up to 40 pounds. It also includes exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal accidents. Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills across phone, in-person, and email interactions.
• Ability to use multi-line phones and computer systems.
• Ability to remain professional and composed under pressure and solve problems.
• Ability to stand and walk frequently, climb stairs, handle leashes, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Previous customer service or retail experience.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome pet parents and their pets.
• Answer phones and multitask while assisting customers.
• Tour prospective clients through the facility and sell services.
• Ensure up-to-date vaccination records are on file.
• Manage pet check-ins and check-outs.
• Handle cash and card payments and balance the end-of-day cash drawer.
• Respond to complaints patiently and professionally.
• Escort pet guests to and from their enclosures.
• Keep the lobby clean and welcoming.
• Support other team members as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
