Customer Service Representative - Patient Registration
About The Position
As a Patient Registration Customer Service Representative, you will be the first friendly face patients meet when they check into the hospital. You will help patients navigate registration, answer questions with confidence and compassion, gather accurate information, and build trust with patients who may be scared, confused, or overwhelmed. No healthcare background is required; training is provided, and the role can serve as a starting point for a healthcare career. The position involves working across multiple computer systems, handling phone calls and in-person interactions, navigating insurance plans and coverage details, and adapting to interruptions from clinical teams during urgent care situations. It is a fast-paced, active role that requires balancing accuracy with compassionate service while working alongside clinicians and emergency staff. The position is based at St. Vicent Joshua Max Simon Primary Care Center and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong customer service experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test and meet vaccination requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Medical or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
