About The Position

Chevron Stations Inc. is hiring a Customer Service Representative to provide guest service and perform cashiering, cooking, stocking, and cleaning duties at Chevron Station CSI #1011 in Portland, Oregon. This part-time position is scheduled for the 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. shift. Requirements

Sufficient English proficiency to understand company policies, safety training, and job instructions, and to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers about work.
Availability to work a variety of hours, potentially including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to handle challenging situations professionally and exercise sound judgment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required current food-handling certificates where required by law in specific locations.
Must be at least 21 years old to work the graveyard shift from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on hard and uneven surfaces.
Ability to bend, lift, push, and move products using proper lifting techniques; use team lifting for objects that are too heavy or awkward, and for objects over 25 pounds.
Ability to stand, bend, and reach continuously and perform work requiring a moderate amount of manual dexterity for Krispy Krunchy Chicken procedures.
Ability to work safely with equipment that creates and retains very high temperatures while using appropriate personal protective equipment.
Ability to tolerate periodic exposure to outdoor conditions during daylight hours and moderate exposure to walk-in coolers and freezers at 34°F or lower.
Ability to wash hands frequently and maintain personal cleanliness standards.
Must be at least 18 years old to work in California or Oregon locations; at least 21 years old to work in Washington locations.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional guest service; greet and thank customers courteously and make eye contact.
Conduct retail and fuel point-of-sale transactions accurately and safely using multiple forms of payment.
Maintain the cash drawer within the maximum limit, secure funds in a safe, and reconcile the register at the end of each shift in accordance with cash-handling procedures.
Clean indoor and outdoor station facilities, including restrooms, islands, pumps, and the car wash if applicable.
Prepare food and hot beverage products, following applicable kitchen, food-safety, and sanitation procedures.
Monitor and restock ExtraMile and/or Krispy Krunchy Chicken food and beverage products to maximize sales and minimize loss.
Promote store specials and other marketing programs.
Check delivered goods for price accuracy, distribute them throughout the store, and keep retail and cooler shelves stocked.
Where applicable in Oregon, activate and fill vehicle fuel tanks with gasoline or diesel to specified levels in accordance with local law.
Maintain professional and courteous contact with coworkers, customers, vendors, contractors, and the community.
Maintain a neat appearance and personal hygiene consistent with company standards.
Follow safety, security, quality, loss-prevention, and company policies and procedures; promptly report accidents or incidents to the manager.
Follow legal requirements and company standards for checking identification when selling age-restricted products.
Attend work regularly and punctually.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
