About The Position

Customer Service Reps take and process customer orders by phone and in person, prepare products, and perform general store duties. The role involves operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning the equipment and facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. Schedules may be part-time or full-time and are described as flexible around employees’ other commitments. Opportunities for advancement may include management or franchise ownership.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to understand and provide correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders by phone and in person.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders.
• Motor coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks described, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling trays, bending, crouching, reaching, and continuous hand use.
• Ability to lift and stack deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds, with cases up to 3 feet by 1.5 feet, onto shelves as high as 72 inches.
• Ability to work around hot surfaces and tools, including ovens reaching 500 degrees or higher, sharp edges, moving mechanical parts, food odors, cornmeal dust, and changing temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Operate store equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders and communicate with customers in person.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and stock supplies.
• Perform outside tasks such as removing trash.
• Use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
