About The Position

The GATE Express Wash Associate makes customer service the first priority by providing guests with a safe, friendly experience. The associate responds to guest questions promptly and correctly, aims to exceed customer expectations, and helps process vehicles efficiently by following the proper car-wash procedures. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized facility and learning the operation, maintenance, and repair of car-wash equipment. The associate works a flexible schedule that may include weekends, holidays, and split shifts. The position requires working indoors and outdoors in changing weather conditions and performing physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching. The associate is trained in the functions of the car wash and must attend required training, safety courses, and meetings.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and split shifts.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English well enough to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills.
Must be able to operate a computer.
Must be able to stand for extended periods.
Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, and reach, including overhead.
Must have adequate strength, balance, and coordination to perform essential functions.
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors and endure outdoor temperature and weather changes.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, friendly customer service and assist guests with questions or requests.
Process vehicles efficiently and safely according to established procedures.
Guide guests with clear hand signals, review loading directions, and confirm vehicle positioning before the wash begins.
Check vehicles for visible safety issues before they enter the wash tunnel.
Operate Express Wash kiosks, credit-card machines, and point-of-sale equipment.
Maintain facility cleanliness and organization, including cleaning restrooms, floors, windows, and storage rooms; stocking supplies; emptying trash; changing light bulbs; replenishing towels; and replacing register paper and ink cartridges.
Perform vehicle detailing as trained and directed.
Learn and perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on car-wash equipment when necessary.
Safely handle chemicals and use equipment and its safety features correctly.
Report safety hazards, follow up to ensure they are corrected, and help maintain a safe work environment.
Arrive on time in a clean, proper uniform and wear safety goggles and non-slip shoes when necessary.
Attend required training, safety courses, and office and departmental meetings.
Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
Maintain knowledge of site merchandise.
