About The Position

The GATE Express Wash Associate makes customer service the first priority by providing guests with a safe, friendly experience. The associate responds to guest questions promptly and correctly, aims to exceed expectations, and facilitates efficient vehicle processing by following the correct procedures for each vehicle. The role also requires maintaining a clean and organized facility. The associate is trained to perform all car wash functions, including operating kiosks, credit card machines, and POS systems; guiding vehicles safely through the wash; maintaining and repairing equipment; performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs; detailing vehicles as directed; and learning about site merchandise. The work may involve both indoor and outdoor duties and a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and split shifts.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and split shifts.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English well enough to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills.
Must be able to operate a computer.
Must be able to stand for extended periods.
Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, and reach, including overhead.
Must have adequate strength, balance, and coordination to perform essential functions.
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors and endure changes in outdoor temperature and weather.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, friendly customer service and assist guests with questions and requests.
Process vehicles efficiently and safely according to established car wash procedures.
Guide guests using clear hand signals, review loading directions, and confirm vehicle placement before the wash begins.
Check vehicles for visible safety issues before they enter the wash tunnel.
Operate Express Wash kiosks, credit card machines, and POS systems.
Maintain facility cleanliness and organization, including cleaning restrooms, floors, windows, and storage rooms; stocking supplies; emptying trash; changing light bulbs; replenishing towels; and changing register paper and ink cartridges.
Perform vehicle detailing services as trained and directed.
Learn and perform minor repairs and maintenance on car wash equipment; help maintain equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
Safely handle chemicals and become proficient with relevant equipment and safety features.
Report safety hazards, follow up to ensure they are corrected, and help maintain a safe work environment.
Arrive consistently on time and in proper uniform; wear safety goggles and non-slip shoes when necessary.
Attend required training, safety courses, and meetings.
Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
Maintain knowledge of site merchandise.
