About The Position

The GATE Express Wash Associate makes customer service the first priority by providing guests with a safe, friendly experience. The associate answers guest questions promptly and correctly, provides service intended to exceed expectations, and facilitates efficient vehicle processing by following the correct procedures for each vehicle. The role also maintains the cleanliness and organization of the facility. The associate is trained to perform all car wash functions, including operating kiosks, credit card machines, and point-of-sale equipment; guiding vehicles safely through the wash; maintaining and performing minor repairs on wash equipment; detailing vehicles; and learning about site merchandise. Work includes interacting with guests, following safety procedures, handling chemicals, and cleaning and restocking facility areas.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and split shifts.
Must speak, read, write, and comprehend English sufficiently to communicate effectively with staff.
Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills.
Must be able to operate a computer.
Must be able to stand for extended periods.
Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, and reach, including overhead.
Must have adequate strength, balance, and coordination to perform essential functions.
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors and endure outdoor temperature and weather changes.

Responsibilities

Arrive at work consistently and on time, wearing a clean, proper uniform.
Attend required training, safety courses, and office and departmental meetings.
Report safety hazards, follow up to ensure they are corrected, and help maintain a safe work environment.
Handle chemicals safely and properly, and become proficient with equipment and its safety features.
Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
Provide prompt, friendly customer service and assist guests with questions or requests.
Process vehicles efficiently by following the correct procedure for each vehicle through the wash.
Guide guests using clear hand signals, review loading sign directions, and signal when vehicles are ready for the wash process.
Check each vehicle before it enters the wash tunnel for visible safety issues.
Clean and organize the facility, including restrooms, floors, windows, and storage rooms; stock supplies; empty trash; change light bulbs; refill towel dispensers; and replace register paper and ink cartridges.
Perform vehicle detailing services as trained and directed.
Operate Express Wash kiosks, credit card machines, and POS equipment.
Learn and perform minor car wash equipment repairs and maintenance when necessary.
