About The Position

Models and delivers a distinctive customer experience by providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. Engages customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues, and answering questions. The role also supports store operations, merchandising, inventory, asset protection, regulated-product compliance, photo services, online order pickup, and store cleanliness. Associates attend assigned training and complete other tasks as directed.

Requirements

Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and patients, offer assistance, answer questions, and resolve issues to support a positive customer experience.
Model and share customer-service best practices, including courteous interpersonal habits and proactive assistance.
Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service; recommend products, trade-up items, and companion items.
Operate an assigned cash register; process purchases, cash payments, change, voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
Check in and price merchandise as required or directed.
Follow asset protection procedures and comply with state and local laws for regulated products.
Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, super-structure, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
Separate and place food items according to policies and procedures; rotate consumable stock using first in, first out, and restock outs.
Use store systems and equipment.
Provide photo-area customer service, including digital passport photos, poster printing, creative machine services, and promotion of photo products.
Monitor and fill web pickup orders and deliver them to customers when they arrive at the store.
Maintain clean, neat, and orderly interior and exterior store conditions.
Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Attend training and complete PPLs as requested by a manager or assigned by corporate.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
