Customer Sales Associate
About The Position
The Customer Sales Associate serves as a trusted advisor to customers visiting Trane Supply stores. The role helps customers resolve parts and equipment issues, identify suitable products and solutions, and receive timely, high-quality service. The associate is expected to understand Trane’s products and offerings, support sales goals, solve problems, and take ownership of quote and order management to ensure accurate transactions and customer satisfaction. The position involves customer interactions both in person and by phone, along with warehouse and inventory support as needed. The role is on-site five days per week and may require overtime or weekend work.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Experience in inside sales, retail, or a related field.
- Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment emphasizing customer service, continuous improvement, and safety.
- Proven ability to build customer relationships and maintain professional customer service in challenging situations.
Responsibilities
- Support customers and identify the best way to resolve problems and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Build sales by identifying related products and add-on extensions that meet customer needs.
- Process customer orders and respond to inquiries, questions, and complaints about Parts and Supply offerings; provide solutions that support customer satisfaction and future sales.
- Stay current on Trane products, offerings, and promotions to provide a strong customer experience and drive sales.
- Interact with customers by phone and in person.
- Accurately execute quote and order management processes, including entering quotes and invoices and following through on fulfillment to support timely delivery.
- Assist with warehouse and inventory management as needed.
- Work overtime or weekends as required.
