About The Position

The Customer Relations Associate performs customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and warmly, handling merchandise carefully, and providing customers with information and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by helping customers make buying decisions, recommending products based on their needs, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. The associate also handles returns, sells hunting and fishing licenses, administers incentive and reward programs, and maintains product and sale awareness. The position is seasonal and part-time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
• Able to stand and/or walk throughout the shift, communicate frequently, and perform repetitive hand, wrist, or finger motions.
• Able to occasionally climb or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps and work in low- or high-temperature and noisy environments.
• Able to constantly lift and move objects up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects weighing 100 pounds or more, using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Secure firearms brought into the store with trigger locks.
• Check in vendor representatives, complete visitor log information, and control visitor badges.
• Support world-class customer service and help ensure a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Greet customers as they enter the store in a friendly and outgoing manner.
• Handle merchandise returns and complete refund or exchange paperwork.
• Sort returns by category and return them to the proper area.
• Sell appropriate hunting and fishing licenses.
• Handle and administer incentive and reward programs.
• Remain knowledgeable about products and aware of advertised sales.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Assist customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, making product recommendations, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
