About The Position

The Customer Relations Associate performs customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information and direction. The associate supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience, helps customers make buying decisions, handles returns and reward programs, and remains knowledgeable about products and advertised sales. The role operates under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate with customers and associates in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.

Responsibilities

• Secure firearms brought into the store with trigger locks.
• Check in vendor representatives, complete visitor log information, and control visitor badges.
• Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
• Greet customers entering the store in a friendly and outgoing manner.
• Handle merchandise returns and complete refund or exchange paperwork.
• Sort returns by category and return them to the proper area.
• Sell appropriate Hunting and Fishing Licenses.
• Handle and administer incentive and reward programs.
• Remain knowledgeable about products and advertised sales.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Assist customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products based on that analysis.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
