The Customer Experience Guide supports Patagonia’s retail team during peak seasons, sales, and other periods of increased need. As a front-line representative of the brand, this role contributes to daily store and customer experience activities, with a focus on sales, customer service, and stocking and staging products. The Guide learns about Patagonia products, connects with customers and the local community, and supports efforts to protect the environment. Employees are encouraged to solve problems creatively and put customers’ needs first. The position also supports store operations, inventory flow, visual standards, loss prevention, and in-store repairs. Seasonal employment has a defined start and end date, typically lasting up to four months. Seasonal employees may be regularly scheduled but may not work more than 19 hours per week, 76 hours per month, or 500 hours in a rolling 12-month period. Employment is at-will and does not guarantee employment for a specific duration. The Telluride store is open seven days a week, currently from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Hiring needs are for fewer than 19 hours per week, with availability required for at least one weekend day. Shifts may begin or end up to two hours outside business hours, and schedules can vary from week to week. Work schedules are generally posted three weeks in advance. Seasonal employees are not eligible for company-sponsored benefits except Wellness Time, employee discounts, and benefits required by applicable law.
