The Customer Experience Guide is a seasonal retail role supporting Patagonia’s Nashville store during peak seasons, sales, and other periods when additional staffing is needed. Guides contribute to front-line retail and customer experience activities, with a focus on sales, customer service, and stocking and staging products. They learn about Patagonia products, connect with the local community, and support efforts to protect the local environment. The role is seasonal, has a defined start and end date, and typically lasts up to four months. Seasonal employment is at-will and does not guarantee employment for a specific duration. Employees may be regularly scheduled but may not work more than 19 hours per week, 76 hours per month, or 500 hours in a rolling 12-month period. The role supports customers and store operations by answering phones, working events, assisting with front- and back-of-house operations and inventory flow, and supporting in-store repairs. Other work includes processing shipments, restocking, assisting with physical inventory and sale preparation, maintaining visual standards, and following security and loss-prevention practices. The guide is expected to contribute to a positive, inclusive, respectful work environment and to communicate effectively with colleagues and leadership. The current hiring need is for fewer than 19 hours per week, with open availability Friday through Sunday. Store shifts may begin or end up to two hours outside business hours, and schedules may vary from week to week. The store aims to post schedules three weeks in advance. Store business hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Seasonal employees are not eligible for company-sponsored benefits except Wellness Time, employee discounts, and benefits required by applicable law.
