The Customer Experience Guide supports Patagonia’s retail team during peak seasons and other periods of increased business. As a front-line representative of the brand, the Guide contributes to daily store and customer experience activities, with a focus on sales, customer service, and stocking and staging products. The role involves learning about Patagonia products, connecting with the local community, supporting environmental efforts, and helping keep customers satisfied. Employees are encouraged to solve problems creatively and center customers’ needs. This is a seasonal position with a defined start and end date, typically lasting up to four months. Seasonal employees may be regularly scheduled but may not work more than 19 hours per week, 76 hours per month, or 500 hours in a rolling 12-month period. Employment is at-will and does not guarantee employment for a specific duration. The store is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; shifts may begin or end up to two hours outside business hours. The current hiring need is for fewer than 19 hours per week, with availability required for at least one weekend day. Schedules may vary from week to week, and the store aims to post schedules three weeks in advance. Seasonal employees are not eligible for company-sponsored benefits except Wellness Time, employee discounts, and benefits required by applicable law.
