CUSTOMER AMBASSADOR (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Customer Ambassador drives a hospitable campus environment by greeting guests, offering samples, touching tables, and leading guest-facing marketing and wellness programs. The role includes explaining menu items, assisting customers with buying decisions, and ensuring food displays and service meet presentation standards. The position is based at the University of Pittsburgh, 4200 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The schedule is full time, with days and hours that may vary and further details provided during the interview. The fixed pay rate is $25.00 per hour. Prior experience building and executing creative event experiences that energize a campus community is required.
Requirements
- Prior experience building and executing creative event experiences that energize the campus community.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Greet every customer and interact in a way that ensures a high level of hospitality.
- Greet team members and ensure they have what they need to be successful each day.
- Relay relevant customer concerns to supervisors.
- Ensure marketing, wellness, and culinary programs are current and in place.
- Lead weekly promotions and programs for guests.
- Share best practices and recognize co-workers.
- Understand daily menu items and explain them accurately to customers.
- Use selling techniques, communicate with customers, and assist with buying and decision-making.
- Ensure display foods are attractively merchandised and food is served neatly and attractively according to standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
