About The Position

The Custodian/Groundskeeper maintains the office building and manufacturing area in a clean, orderly, sanitary, and safe condition. The work includes cleaning and building maintenance duties inside and outside the facility, using cleaning chemicals and equipment, maintaining restrooms and exterior areas, and assisting with office moves and meeting setups. The position also requires adherence to Dairy Farmers of America food safety, quality, safety, GMP, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Moderate physical effort is required.
Work involves areas inside and outside the plant.
Adhere to department and company safety rules.
Perform routine, light manual cleaning work in offices, halls, and restrooms.
Use equipment such as floor sweepers, polishers, vacuum cleaners, and dusters.
Follow Dairy Farmers of America GMPs and work consistently with corporate and regulatory quality and sanitation requirements.

Responsibilities

Remove refuse from the plant interior and place it in containers outside the plant.
Use chemicals to sanitize and clean the facility.
Maintain sanitary conditions in plant restrooms.
Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the plant exterior.
Assist with office equipment moves and meeting setups as requested, using proper lifting techniques when moving furniture and large items.
Clean windows, vents, fixtures, walkways, and steps daily, and handle unscheduled duties as requested.
Maintain an accurate inventory and replenish cleaning supplies and paper products in the break room and restrooms.
Follow DFA Food Safety and Quality policies and procedures and report nonconformities.
Follow DFA Safety policies and procedures and report nonconformities.
Follow DFA GMP policies and procedures and report nonconformities.
Perform duties safely and report safety concerns.
Keep self and equipment sanitary.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
