About The Position

This position performs routine custodial and grounds maintenance duties to maintain clean, safe, and well-kept interior and exterior facilities in accordance with established procedures and company standards. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The role provides daily cleaning support to designated high-traffic building areas and performs routine landscaping and groundskeeping tasks. Work follows company procedures and government contract standards, with limited opportunity to exercise discretion in resolving straightforward problems. The position requires physical work and occasional exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals. The minimum pay rate is $17.00. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of job-related experience.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 pounds, and moving furniture.
Ability to follow basic work routines.
Ability to communicate.
Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.
Ability to complete assigned tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.

Responsibilities

Clean designated high-traffic building areas daily.
Restock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, and soap.
Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, and elevators.
Dust furniture, walls, and equipment, moving or rearranging items as needed.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaning tools and products.
Store cleaning supplies in a safe and secure area.
Follow standardized cleaning processes, company and government contract standards, and procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment.
Attend regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
Follow established work routines and use existing procedures to resolve straightforward problems.
Mow grass with walking-type or riding mowers weighing less than 2,000 pounds.
Trim hedges and edge walkways, flower beds, and wells using hedge trimmers, clippers, and edging tools.
Prune shrubs and trees with shears and other hand tools.
Apply fertilizer or insecticide to lawns, shrubs, and trees as directed.
Plant grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs for seasonal or routine landscaping.
Water lawns and shrubs during dry periods using hoses or sprinkler systems.
Collect and dispose of leaves, paper, and other litter in outdoor areas.
Clean comfort stations, office areas, workshop spaces, and parking lots by sweeping, washing, mopping, and polishing as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
