About The Position

Silverado Frederick is hiring a part-time Culinary Aide to help create a warm, nourishing, and welcoming dining experience for residents. The role combines food service skills, attention to detail, and hospitality in a memory care setting. The schedule is a PM shift on variable weekdays and weekends, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The anticipated pay range is $16–$18 USD per hour.

Employment offers are contingent on a background check, drug screening, physical, and TB testing if applicable. Silverado uses E-Verify to confirm work authorization.

Requirements

• Food Handlers Certificate from the County Department of Environmental Health.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Willingness to work with individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
• Ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Comfort working around animals and pets.
• Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
• Dependability, eagerness to learn, and ability to work in a team-focused environment.
• Care, consistency, integrity, respect, and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and kitchen sanitation.
• Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness of food service areas.
• Deliver resident meal carts and stock refrigerators.
• Set and clean dining areas to ensure a pleasant mealtime experience.
