About The Position

Silverado Escondido is hiring a full-time Culinary Aide to help create a warm, nourishing, and welcoming dining experience for residents in a memory care setting. The role combines food service tasks, attention to detail, and hospitality. The schedule is Thursday through Monday, 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, on the PM shift. The anticipated pay range is $19–$20 USD per hour.

The position involves food preparation, kitchen sanitation, dishwashing, maintaining food-service areas, delivering resident meal carts, stocking refrigerators, and preparing and cleaning dining areas. The role requires working with individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, and involves walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Employees must be comfortable around animals and pets and have reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.

Employment offers are contingent on a background check, drug screening, physical, and TB testing if applicable. Silverado uses E-Verify to confirm work authorization.

Requirements

• Food Handlers Certificate from the County Department of Environmental Health.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Willingness to work with individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
• Ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Comfort working around animals and pets.
• Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.

Responsibilities
