About The Position

Silverado is hiring a full-time Culinary Aide for its Escondido memory care community. The role supports a warm, nourishing, and welcoming dining experience for residents, combining food service skills, attention to detail, and hospitality. The work includes food preparation, kitchen sanitation, dishwashing, maintaining food service areas, delivering meal carts, stocking refrigerators, and preparing and cleaning dining areas. The position is scheduled for the PM shift, Thursday through Monday, 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

Requirements

• Food Handlers Certificate from the County Department of Environmental Health.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Willingness to work with individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
• Ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Comfort working around animals and pets.
• Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and kitchen sanitation.
• Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness of food service areas.
• Deliver resident meal carts and stock refrigerators.
• Set and clean dining areas to ensure a pleasant mealtime experience.
