About The Position

Silverado Frederick is hiring a part-time Culinary Aide for the PM shift to help provide residents with a warm, nourishing, and welcoming dining experience. The role combines food service duties, attention to detail, and hospitality in a memory care environment serving individuals with neurodegenerative conditions.

The schedule is variable weekdays and weekends, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The position involves walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Offers are contingent on a background check, drug screening, physical, and TB testing if applicable.

Requirements

• Food Handlers Certificate from the County Department of Environmental Health.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Willingness to work with individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
• Ability to perform an active role involving walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
• Comfort working around animals and pets.
• Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and kitchen sanitation.
• Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness of food service areas.
• Deliver resident meal carts and stock refrigerators.
• Set and clean dining areas to provide a pleasant mealtime experience.
