About The Position

Valor Environmental is hiring a full-time Crew Leader for construction and landscaping work in Savannah, Georgia. The company provides environmental services nationwide, including erosion control, land services, street sweeping, and site maintenance. The salary range is $20–$23 per hour.

The Crew Leader leads the crew’s daily work, coordinates site activities and materials, ensures work quality and safety, communicates with clients and the crew, and completes required reports and paperwork. The role involves safely operating heavy equipment and trucks and working outdoors in varied weather. Weekend work and extended hours may be needed.

Requirements

• Previous construction or landscaping leadership experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Ability to work weekends and extended hours as needed.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds throughout the workday; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the crew’s daily work, including travel to sites, materials management, work quality, inspection report sign-off, field communication, care of materials and tools, overtime management, and safety measures.
• Interact with clients on site to ensure work is completed.
• Reinforce company culture with the crew, including attire, communication, work ethic, safety, and attitude.
• Keep job materials in good condition and ensure they are maintained and used without waste.
• Safely operate heavy equipment, including a trencher, skid steer, Bobcat, backhoe, and sweeper, as well as a truck and trailer; comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• Use phones and computers and demonstrate organizational capability.
• Complete all required paperwork and submissions accurately and on time.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
