About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Course Coordinator for NUSC 2P80 Fall D2, a Nursing Care of the Adult & Older Adult - CLINICAL course. This position involves 128 hours of work and is paid according to qualifications, with rates effective September 1, 2026. Employees without a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate of $23.30 per hour, while those with such degrees will receive the graduate rate of $36.67 per hour. Requirements

  • Previous course coordination experience working in a large course with multiple sections
  • Experience grading scholarly papers and other written course evaluations
  • Strong foundation in education and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Strong organization and time management skills

Nice To Haves

  • A completed Master of Nursing (MN/MScN) degree or a recognized graduate degree in a related field is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the seminar/tutorial/lab sections for a particular course.
  • Coordinating Teaching Assistants/Lab Demonstrators/Marker-Graders and holding meetings with them.
  • Assisting in the preparation of marking schemes and coordinating the marking of course assignments and/or midterm, progress and final exams.
  • Responding to student inquiries via email and/or LMS.
  • Posting announcements on course LMS site.
  • Formatting exam scripts, preparing for printing, and coordinating distribution/tracking of exam documents.
  • Invigilating exams.
  • Coordinating and administering make-up quizzes/exams.
  • Coordinating grading of exams and assignments supporting consistency across multiple marker-graders/sections.
  • Corresponding with students who have missed assignments, tests, exams and assisting in the coordination of make-up assessments, as approved by the course instructor.
  • Liaising with Student Accessibility Services (SAS) and course instructors to coordinate academic accommodations for individual students.
  • Validating and corresponding with students regarding Medical Self Declaration and Medical Verification Forms.
  • Liaising with EdTech in course LMS site design and configuration.
  • Posting materials/resources to course LMS site.
  • Supporting updating, formatting, editing course materials, including lesson plans, assignments, and assessments.
  • Any other related duties as may be required by the course instructor.
