About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Course Coordinator for NUSC 2P07 Fall D2, a Nursing Care of the Adult and Older Adult course. This position involves overseeing seminar/tutorial/lab sections, coordinating Teaching Assistants, assisting with grading schemes and marking, and managing course communication and evaluations. The role requires strong organizational and time management skills, a solid understanding of education and Learning Management Systems (LMS), and experience grading scholarly papers. The position starts August 10, 2026, and ends December 31, 2026, with a total of 120 hours. Requirements

  • Previous course coordination experience working in a large course with multiple sections
  • Experience grading scholarly papers and other written course evaluations
  • Strong foundation in education and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Strong organization and time management skills

Nice To Haves

  • A completed Master of Nursing (MN/MScN) degree or a recognized graduate degree in a related field is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the seminar/tutorial/lab sections for a particular course
  • Coordinating Teaching Assistants/Lab Demonstrators/Marker-Graders and holding meetings with them
  • Assisting in the preparation of marking schemes and coordinating the marking of course assignments and/or midterm, progress and final exams
  • Facilitate course communication: Respond to student inquiries via email and/or LMS, Post announcements on course LMS site
  • Facilitate course evaluation measures: Format exam scripts, prepare for printing, and coordinate distribution/tracking of exam documents, Invigilate exams, Coordinate and administer make-up quizzes/exams, Coordinate grading of exams and assignments supporting consistency across multiple marker-graders/sections, Correspond with students who have missed assignments, tests, exams and assisting in the coordination of make-up assessments, as approved by the course instructor
  • Support academic accommodations and medical absence verification: Liaise with Student Accessibility Services (SAS) and course instructors to coordinate academic accommodations for individual students, Validate and correspond with students regarding Medical Self Declaration and Medical Verification Forms
  • Prepare course materials/resources and maintain course LMS site: Liaise with EdTech in course LMS site design and configuration, Post materials/resources to course LMS site, Support updating, formatting, editing course materials, including lesson plans, assignments, and assessments
