About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Course Coordinator for NUSC 1P03 Fall D2. This is a contract position from August 10, 2026, to December 31, 2026, to fill an existing vacancy within the CUPE4207-1 employee group. The role involves approximately 120 nominal hours. Requirements

  • Previous course coordination experience working in a large course with multiple sections
  • Experience grading scholarly papers and other written course evaluations

Nice To Haves

  • A completed Master of Nursing (MN/MScN) degree or a recognized graduate degree in a related field is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the seminar/tutorial/lab sections for a particular course.
  • Coordinating Teaching Assistants/Lab Demonstrators/Marker-Graders and holding meetings with them.
  • Assisting in the preparation of marking schemes and coordinating the marking of course assignments and/or midterm, progress and final exams.
  • Facilitate course communication by providing additional office hours, responding to student inquiries via email and/or LMS, and posting announcements on the course LMS site.
  • Facilitate course evaluation measures by formatting exam scripts, preparing for printing, and coordinating distribution/tracking of exam documents, invigilating exams, coordinating and administering make-up quizzes/exams, and coordinating grading of exams and assignments supporting consistency across multiple marker-graders/sections.
  • Correspond with students who have missed assignments, tests, and exams and assisting in the coordination of make-up assessments, as approved by the course instructor.
  • Support academic accommodations and medical absence verification by liaising with Student Accessibility Services (SAS) and course instructors to coordinate academic accommodations for individual students and validating and corresponding with students regarding Medical Self Declaration and Medical Verification Forms.
  • Prepare course materials/resources and maintain course LMS site by liaising with EdTech in course LMS site design and configuration, posting materials/resources to course LMS site, and supporting updating, formatting, editing course materials, including lesson plans, assignments, and assessments.
