About The Position
Brock University is seeking an Instructor for APCO 1P00 – Introduction to Media Computation for the Fall 2025 D2 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation for a half course is $7,887.59, and for a full course is $15,775.20, effective September 1, 2026. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. The Collective Agreement governs part-time Instructor, Teaching Assistant, Lab Demonstrator, Course Coordinator and Marker-Grader positions at Brock University.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Computer Science
- University-level teaching experience in fundamental computer science and computer programming
- Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations)
Responsibilities
- Scheduled contact time with students
- Preparation of lectures
- Student consultation
- Marking and grading
- Course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic integrity
