About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for an Instructor for APCO 1P01 - Fluency With Technology, a half course. The compensation for this position is effective September 1, 2026, at $7,887.59 per half course (nominally 195 hours). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture, or equivalent, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Office hours are to be held in person.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science
• University-level teaching experience in fundamental computer science and computer applications
• Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations)
• Cover letter and a current resume
• All required documentation, including letters of reference and course/performance evaluations

Responsibilities

• Scheduled contact time with students
• Non-classroom time including preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration
• Handling grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty
