About The Position

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages, checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service, provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station’s service area, and performs related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; hours may vary. The position is to be posted internally first and externally if there are no applicants.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 21 years of age.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and maneuver packages weighing more than 50 pounds using appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
Neat appearance, as the position requires customer contact.
Meet and maintain qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations and complete a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
Obtain and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with state requirements for the assigned vehicle type and maintain a good driving record as outlined in policy.
Maintain constant alertness and work safely.
Successfully complete a federal drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

Six months of courier experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of the service area; thorough knowledge of the station’s service area is preferred.
Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
Valid driver's license consistently for the past two years.
