About The Position

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous, efficient delivery and pickup of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service, provides coverage for assigned routes within the station's service area, and performs related customer service functions and other duties as assigned. The position requires customer contact and a neat appearance, compliance with federal motor carrier safety regulations, a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations, and a valid driver's license appropriate for the assigned vehicle with a good driving record. This is a non-covered safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness and safe work practices.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., pending operational needs. Starting pay is $23.52.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and maneuver packages heavier than 50 pounds using appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and speak English well enough to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
• Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations and pass a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license, as required by the state for the assigned vehicle, and have a good driving record as outlined in policy.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Must successfully complete a federal drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

• Adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
• Valid driver's license consistently for the past two years.
