About The Position

Driver and operator of company vehicles who provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned. This is a part-time morning courier schedule, Tuesday through Saturday, from 6:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and maneuver packages weighing more than 50 pounds with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance, as the role requires customer contact.
• Meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Complete a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations; a medical exam is required.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

• Valid driver's license held consistently for the past two years.
• Successfully complete a federal drug screen and background check.
