About The Position

Drives and operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient package delivery and pickup. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and performs related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned. This part-time position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 07:15 to 13:15. The desired location is Ft Myers, Florida, and employees are required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages weighing more than 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance, as customer contact is required.
• Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Medical examination in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations is required.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
