About The Position

Driver/operator of company vehicles who provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned. The position is part-time, with a schedule of Tuesday through Friday from 6:25 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Saturday from 7:40 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The desired location is Southfield, Michigan, and employees are required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and maneuver packages weighing more than 50 pounds with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
Neat appearance, as customer contact is required.
Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Medical examination required in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
