About The Position

Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages, checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service, provides coverage for assigned routes within the station’s service area, and performs related customer service functions and other duties as assigned. This is a full-time Courier/Swing DOT position based out of North Canton, Ohio. Employees are required to work at a FedEx location five days a week. The schedule is Monday through Saturday with variable shifts and hours to be determined.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the service area.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and maneuver packages weighing more than 50 pounds with appropriate equipment or help from another person.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
• Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations.
• Must complete a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license meeting state requirements for the assigned vehicle type and maintain a good driving record as outlined in company policy.
• Ability to remain alert and work safely.
• Six months of courier experience is preferred.
