About The Position

Sentara Health is seeking a part-time Courier based out of Sentara Park in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The position works a second shift on Saturdays and Sundays, from 5:15 p.m. until approximately 1:30 a.m. The Courier picks up and delivers items including deposits, medications, equipment, supplies, x-ray films, lab specimens, letters, marketing materials, and packages. The role also requires safe vehicle operation and care, vehicle safety logs, timely maintenance and repair requests, and tracking lab specimens, reports, supplies, and other barcoded items.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Driver license.
No experience required.
One year of courier experience may substitute for a high school education.

Responsibilities

Pick up and deliver deposits, medications, equipment, supplies, x-ray films, lab specimens, letters, marketing materials, and packages.
Operate the vehicle safely.
Keep the vehicle clean and well maintained.
Maintain vehicle safety logs and submit requests for vehicle maintenance or repairs in a timely manner.
Track lab specimens, reports, supplies, and all barcoded items.
