About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Courier to join its team in Itasca, Illinois. The Courier picks up, transports, and delivers medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to clients. A company vehicle is provided for the route, with an optional $125 monthly charge to take the vehicle home and use it for personal purposes.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with rotating Saturdays from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The position pays $17.75–$20.00 per hour and is eligible for a second-shift differential.

Requirements

• No education or experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Be punctual and have strong time-management skills.
• Have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Be able to solve customer issues.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of driver or courier experience.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Load all necessary supplies for daily pickups.
• Complete the daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver all daily pickups to the branch at the end of the shift.
• Handle specimens and laboratory samples safely and efficiently.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey traffic laws.
• Use a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
• Work with the dispatcher to coordinate additional pickups as needed.
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent client service.
