About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Medical Courier I to join its team in Dothan, Alabama. The courier picks up, transports, and delivers medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to clients. The position includes use of a company vehicle for the route; for an additional $125 per month, the employee may take the vehicle home and use it for personal purposes.

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. No education or prior experience is required. Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of driver or courier experience, and at least one year of customer service experience. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record, be at least 21 years old, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• No education or experience is required.
• Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrate punctuality and strong time-management skills.
• Have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Be able to problem-solve customer issues.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Load all supplies needed for the daily pickups.
• Complete the daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver all daily pickups to the branch at the end of the shift.
• Handle specimens and lab samples safely and efficiently.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey traffic laws.
• Use a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
• Work with the dispatcher for additional pickups as needed.
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.
