About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Medical Courier I to join its team in Miami, Florida. The role is responsible for picking up, transporting, and delivering medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to clients. The courier uses a company vehicle and a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups and coordinates with the dispatcher when additional pickups are needed.

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. A company vehicle is provided for the route. For $125 per month, the employee may opt to take the vehicle home and use it for personal purposes. No education or prior experience is required. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability coverage, a 401(k), paid time off or flexible time off, tuition reimbursement, and an employee stock purchase plan. Other eligibility rules apply to employees scheduled for fewer than 20 hours, casual, intern, temporary, and 7-on/7-off positions.

Requirements

• No education or experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrate punctuality and strong time-management skills.
• Have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Be able to problem-solve customer issues.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least one year of driver or courier experience.
• At least one year of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Load all necessary supplies for the daily pickups.
• Complete the daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver all daily pickups to the branch at the end of the shift.
• Handle specimens and laboratory samples safely and efficiently.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey traffic laws.
• Use a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
• Work with the dispatcher to handle additional pickups as needed.
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.
