Cosmetology and Beauty Enrichment Instructor Opportunities

Concorde Education•Los Angeles, CA

About The Position

Concorde Education seeks independent professionals with cosmetology, beauty, hairstyling, makeup, nail technology, barbering, esthetics, fashion, or related experience for potential K–12 enrichment instructional assignments. Programs are delivered in person at partner schools and community locations. Assignments may serve elementary, middle, or high school students, typically involve 1–4 instructional hours per week, and often last approximately 8–10 weeks. Opportunities are rolling and depend on partner schedules; no minimum assignments, hours, or future opportunities are guaranteed. Depending on the assignment, instructors facilitate age-appropriate sessions, introduce students to beauty skills and career pathways, demonstrate relevant techniques, and create hands-on activities and projects. They adapt activities to student age, available resources, program objectives, and site requirements, while promoting creativity, confidence, professionalism, positive self-expression, and safe, respectful, inclusive practices. Instructors may use provided resources or suitable materials of their own. Purchases requested for reimbursement require Concorde Education’s written approval in advance. A brief session-completion form is completed after scheduled sessions. These are independent contractor opportunities, not employee positions. Contractors may choose which assignments to pursue and may accept or decline any offer. Compensation is set separately for each assignment; many begin at $50+ per completed instructional hour with students, depending on assignment scope, experience, location, schedule, and program needs. Applicants may propose a rate. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, compensation is for completed instructional hours, and payment is generally made by direct deposit on the fifteenth day of the month following the month services were completed. Selected applicants may need to complete onboarding and assignment-specific compliance requirements, such as background-check procedures, clearances, fingerprinting, or documentation, before services begin.
