About The Position

Bloomingdale’s Cosmetic Beauty Advisors provide excellent service and product knowledge while selling the store’s assortment in person and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships and creating a welcoming, friendly, and engaging experience that puts customers’ needs first. Beauty Advisors provide makeup application lessons, skincare consultations and treatments, and timely trend advice while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. They also contribute to merchandising and operational requirements and use technology to support sales and customer service.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous selling experience.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule that may include day, evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, and stoop; color vision.
Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous selling experience in cosmetics is preferred.
