About The Position

The Cosmetics Beauty Advisor works on Bloomingdale’s cosmetics floor, providing excellent service and selling the assortment both in store and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. The advisor provides makeup application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. The advisor is welcoming, friendly, and engaged, keeps excitement alive on the sales floor, and puts customer needs first.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous selling experience.
• Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including day, evening, weekend, and/or holiday hours.

Nice To Haves

• Previous selling experience in cosmetics is preferred.

• Drive sales with in-store and online clients by embracing and becoming proficient with technology.
• Participate in merchandising and operational requirements.
