About The Position

The Cosmetics Beauty Advisor works on Bloomingdale’s cosmetics floor, providing outstanding customer service and product knowledge while building and maintaining client relationships. The role sells the cosmetics assortment to in-store and online customers and maintains compelling merchandise presentation. Beauty Advisors provide makeup application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. They create a welcoming, friendly, and engaging sales-floor experience and prioritize customer needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous selling experience required, preferably in cosmetics.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including day, evening, weekend, and/or holiday hours.
Ability to use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and process register transactions.
Ability to frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods; the role may also involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and color vision.

Drive sales with in-store and online clients by using technology proficiently.
Participate in the merchandising and operational requirements of the role.
Provide product knowledge, makeup application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and trend advice.
Maintain compelling merchandise presentation and keep the sales floor welcoming and engaging.
